From January 1-24, 2025, the Consumer Protection Police Division inspected 12 drug stores throughout Bangkok and seized 26 dangerous drugs, registered drugs, and other evidence. All of the drug stores were properly licensed but did not have pharmacists on staff. The people selling the drugs were not pharmacists. They also arrested 12 suspects who were not pharmacists and had no knowledge of pharmacy. Of these, 5 had completed Mathayom 6, 2 had higher vocational certificates, and 5 had bachelor’s degrees.
